Many at times, we go through life worrying about things that happened to us, our struggles, our pains, things that don’t go well in our lives as though that’s all that matters.
But truth be told, they don’t matter. You might disagree with this, but it doesn’t matter.
It doesn’t matter that you were laughed at, bullied, insulted, called all sorts of names.
It doesn’t matter how many times you failed no matter how hard you tried.
It doesn’t matter that you are faced with financial difficulty, struggling to provide for your family.
It doesn’t matter that your mates are successful, living large, driving flashy cars but you are just starting out in life.
It doesn’t matter that others are in a relationship or married but you are still single.
It doesn’t matter how old you are and haven’t achieved your dreams yet.
It doesn’t matter if people say you don’t have what it takes, that you are not good enough.
It doesn’t matter what people say about you, how little they think of you.
It doesn’t matter how people judge you based on your background, color, ethnicity, or personality
It doesn’t matter if no one believes in you but you believe.
NONE OF THESE THAT YOU WORRY ABOUT MATTER.
Some people know this and it changed their lives,
Brian Acton was rejected by both Twitter and Facebook before founding WhatsApp.
Mark Cuban lost his job as a salesman. That was his last job working for anyone.
Steve Jobs was fired from Apple, a company he co-founded. His comeback turned out bigger than the first.
Oprah Winfrey was told she was “unfit for television news” Today as one of the most influential women in the world.
Nelson Mandela was imprisoned for twenty-seven years. Yet he became the president of South Africa and inspiration to those oppressed.
You know what?
These people faced challenges, went through pain, tough times but they didn’t relent.
They chose to react in a different way rather than run away or hide, they made their come back bigger and better, stronger than ever.
Charles Swindoll said; life is 10% of what happens to you and 90% how you react to it.
The truth is, life a mixture of ups and downs, you are going to go through tough times when things don’t go as planned. That’s life.
In such times, are you going to get tougher when things get tough, use your pain as fuel for your gain?
Show your attitude!
One of courage, never giving up, persistence, determination, gratitude, and love. Your attitude is how you respond to what happens to you in life.
Attitude is everything. Whether you rise or fall, everything revolves around it.
The kind of attitude you possess to keep going, again and again, no matter what life throws at you, no matter the challenges you encounter. It is how you respond that counts.
Please listen – we cannot always control everything that goes on in our lives but we can choose how we respond to it.
Because that, beloved friends is what matters.
The question still remains, how are you going to respond to the things that don’t go well in life? What are you going to do about it? Are you going to develop a positive attitude and respond by showing it or remain worried, beaten, afraid? It’s a choice you have to make, to choose to respond in a positive way or not?
